The 5th edition of the International Free Ride Film Festival will take place on December 10-12 2009 in Saint Lary-Soulan, French Pyrenees

Paris, le 10 Décembre 09 - For three days, a selection of the best new releases of skiing and snowboarding films will be shown to the public and judged by an international Jury, composed by ten members of diverse background: film, surf/snow industry, graphic arts, media…

This Jury of pasionate experts will be unveiled along with the list of competing films on December the 2nd, during a press conference held at the Maison Midi-Pyrénées in Toulouse.

Selected films will be projected to the public in Saint Lary-Soulan cinema, turned into Palais des Festivals for the occasion, where an area open to the public will be set for the use of partners ad professionals. The presence of professional riders, a photo exhibition, the concerts and parties held every night at different venues of Saint Lary’s nightlife will give the touch to this particularly festive 5th edition.

To celebrate independent film production, this year’s prices will be awarded to the Best Film, Best Rider, Best Images, Best Freeride Spirit, Public’s Choice and Best Rookie Film.

The festival is a true reflection of today’s ski and snowboard films around the world and it has the aim of showing the artistic quality of these films to a greater public, showing the industry’s force as well as sharing the pleasure on a big screen.
